Building the drop
The drop is the payload of an EDM record. We use contrast, pulling energy back in the build so the drop hits harder, and shape the kick and bass so they lock together and punch through a loud arrangement without turning to mud.
Low end and stereo width
Sub and kick have to share the low end cleanly; we use sidechain, mono-below-a-crossover and careful EQ so the bottom stays tight on a club rig. Up top, we widen synths and FX for an immersive stereo image while keeping the core elements centred and powerful.
Festival-loud masters
EDM masters are loud and bright. We push competitive loudness for streaming and DJ play while protecting the transient impact of your kick, so the record still hits after normalization and on a festival PA.
